LINES HURT

Sometimes, those beautiful phrases that are intended to touch your heart can surprisingly sting. It's a curious thing, how feelings can be simultaneously healed and hurt by the very same medium. Perhaps it's because honesty often comes wrapped in a veil of verse. Or maybe it's just that vulnerability makes us exposed to suffering, no matter how we
